The Alabama Tin Foil Alien

On the night of October 17th, 1973, in Falkville, Alabama, police chief Jeff Greenhaw received a frantic phone call from a woman claiming to have seen a spaceship land in an open field.

Greenhaw wasted no time and arrived to the scene with his Polaroid camera. It was 10 p.m. When he finally arrived at the scene. He took a look around but found no trace of the alleged spacecraft. He caught sight of something along the road, and with his Polaroid at the ready; he walked closer to the thing.

It was a being dressed in a bright, shiny outfit, like it was made of metal. It was moving stiff and in a mechanical fashion, recalls Greenhaw. There was no neck, as the head of the thing blended into the shoulders. He managed to take four photos of the thing before turning on the headlights of his cruiser, startling the creature, causing it to run into the field.

Greenhaw took off in pursuit of the thing, however, he could only go about 35 mph as the bumpy field impeded his ability to keep pace with the humanoid, who was going much faster, proving that it couldn’t have been a person in a suit. He soon lost sight of the thing but was excited to have photographic evidence of the thing.

He would soon regret coming forward with the photos and the story, as nothing but bad things came with his disclosure. He was ridiculed by the town and even received threatening phone calls. And that wasn’t even the worst of it. His wife soon left him, his house burned down and he was terminated from his job as police chief.

As John Keel states in many of his books, it is common for people who have had close encounters with alien beings to experience some type of fire related incident, many times the witnesses house is burnt down.

The Dr. Reed Dead Alien Saga

Dr. Jonathan Reed was walking in the mountains when his dog started barking and took off. Concerned, the Dr. ran after his dog, only to find it fighting with a green, alien humanoid. As the Dr. was looking for something to defend himself with, the alien ripped the dog in half. Dr. Reed was lucky enough to find a large branch and bash in the things head. He noticed a craft, seemingly floating above some foliage. It was small, black and in the shape of an obilesque.

He ran back to his home to grab his camcorder so he could document the alien and the craft. The creature is still alive, yet unmoving as you can see it blinking. When Dr. Reed tries to video tape the craft, the film distorts as if the craft is creating some type of interference.

He wrapped the alien up in a thermal blanket and brings it to his garage where he further documents the alien body. Again, we can see it blinking, but that’s it, no other bodily movements, not even in the face. I guess the only conclusion is that the creature was paralyzed. Done with his investigation, he puts the live alien in the freezer, when it starts screaming… allegedly. He was afraid the body would rot, even though it is still alive.

Like with most cases involving alien encounters, Dr. Reed was hounded by ominous people who found out about his possession of the body and wanted him to hand it over along with a piece of mystery jewelry known only as “The Link Artifact”. This artifact was even alleged to have been anaylized by metallurgist/chemical engineers in Osaka, Japan in 1999.

Dr. Reed claims that he used the link several times and it started to change his body, allowing him access to communicate with an angel/light being known as “The Elder”. Here is Dr. Reed having a particularly bad, or good trip live and on the air, enjoy!

Well anyway, eventually, these shadow government people ripped up Jonathans house and all that stuff was stolen, including the alien sickle. In all my years following this case, I don’t think Dr. Reed ever mentioned what happened to the obilesque craft. Maybe it auto-piloted back its own planet, or maybe it was towed. Dr. Reed even claimed to have been shot by these shadow government people, but it is clearly just a bad make-up job.

If some seedy section of the government wanted Reed dead, he would be dead, they wouldn’t have settled for a pot shot at his shoulder. And Dr Reed is still out there to this day lecturing on his encounter. I guess you could argue that they have let him stay alive only because it would be too suspicious to kill him at this point.

I would argue that these shadow people, or even special interests groups would be afraid of killing someone who threatens their livelihood, or whatever ideology they stand for. Look at what happened to the guy who invented a car that ran on water. And this guy was waaaay more of a high profiled news figure than Dr. Reed.

Ultimately, the ufological community as a hoax generally accepts Dr. Reeds story, and I believe it is too. But damn, it’s still a great story.

The Aurora Alien Encounter

Before Roswell, there was Aurora. On April 17th, 1897, an alien craft crashed down on a farm near Aurora, Texas, smashing into a windmill and resulting in the occupant’s death.

The farmland belonged to a judge J.S. Proctor and the crash was reported to an Army officer out of Fort Worth, Texas. The alien astronoaut was described as “not of this world”, and Martian, which was the parlance of the time. The Martian was buried in the Aurora cemetery with full Christian rites.

The debris of the U.F.O., or airship was thrown into a nearby well. The farm was later purchased by a man named Brawly Oates in 1935. Oates cleaned out the debris from the well and used it for his drinking water. He soon developed an extreme case of arthritis and figured it was on account of the wreckage contaminating the well.

Barbra Brammer, a former mayor to Aurora, researched this incident and came to the conclusion it was likely a hoax with good intentions. The town of Aurora was in the middle of a bad luck streak and was in danger of becoming a ghost town, so, a local reporter decided to cook up a Martian story in order to draw interest and possibly new life into a dying town.

The Loveland Frog Men

Something very strange happened along the little Miami river back in 1955, in Loveland Ohio.
At around 3:30 Am a businessman was traveling on a road that ran along the little Miami, when he noticed three, small bipedal creatures standing alongside of the road.

The man pulled over to the side of the road and observed these creatures for over three minutes. He described them as having leathery skin and were definitely frog-like. They had deep wrinkles on top of their head and their hands and feet were webbed.

As if bothered by the mans observations, one of the humanoids lifted up what the man described as being a wand that suddenly started spewing sparks. The man got the hint and quickly left, the story, however didn’t end with this encounter.

Two policemen claim seeing a very similar creature almost two decades later.
an un-named police officer was cruising down the very same road the original encounter happened. He saw what looked to be a dead dog laying on the side of the road. It wasn’t . the thing jumped up and ran across the road, forcing the officer to slam on his breaks. The thing stopped in the middle of the road, and went from a crouch to a standing position where it stared the officer down for some time, then took off, climbing over the guardrail and presumably splashing into the freezing cold little Miami river.

When a fellow police officer went back to the scene to investigate, claw marks were found in the metal of the guardrail.

This wasn’t the only encounter involving a policeman. Officer Mark Mathews, again, saw what looked to be a dead dog on the side of the road. When he got out of his cruiser to investigate, he was shocked to see the body stand up. Realizing what he was seeing was not normal, he unholstered his side arm and fired. The thing hobbled over the guard rail, keeping its eyes on Mathews the whole time.

Mathews later redacted this account as being nothing more than taking a shot at someones escaped reptilian pet. He claimed he fabricated his account after his fellow officer was scrutinized for his report of seeing the creature.

Later that same year, a farmer was out walking his fields when he saw four similar creatures. They were small and stood upright. They had green skin and wide mouths filled sharp teeth. When they saw the farmer, they retreated to the little Miami river that ran along his farm.
